Earth Day 2011 at Amherst State Park

On April 30, 2011 The Amherst State Park Arboretum committee had a booth at The Williamsville Mill to promote Earth Day and Amherst State Park.

At Amherst State Park, Amherst councilmember Guy R. Marlette and Amherst Highway Department Supervisor Bob Anderson planted a “Prairie Fire” Crabapple tree in the triangle in front of the  former Mother House.

Also at the park a group of Cub Scouts from Pack 619 planted about fifty Scotch Pine trees on the slope area as an Earth Day project.
