Photos of Amherst State Park

On April 5, 2011 at  11:00 am, a truck from the N.Y.S. Fish Hatchery at Caledonia, New York arrived at the parking lot near the bridge on Glen Avenue. It carried about 1200 8 to 10 inch Rainbow Trout. About half of the Rainbow Trout were dumped from the bridge into to Ellicott Creek at the southern boundary of Amherst State Park. The other half of the trout dumped in to Ellicott Creek at base of the bridge in the middle of Amherst State Park.
